About us

Founded in 2012, Diversity Development Group (DDG) is a non-profit organisation working at the intersection of research, policy and practice. For more than a decade, we have collaborated with ministries, municipalities, civil society organisations and other stakeholders across Lithuania and Europe to advance equal opportunities, migrant inclusion and social cohesion.

  • Expertise

    Effective policy starts with reliable evidence. Over more than a decade, we have built a sustained body of research on migrant inclusion, spanning MIPEX, wellbeing monitoring and public attitude surveys. This helps ensure that decisions affecting migrants are grounded in evidence rather than assumptions.

  • Cooperation

    Lasting change requires cooperation. Through ŽTOK, the Lithuanian Diversity Charter and the VB Platforma, we work alongside dozens of partners who share the same goal. Together, we can speak with a broader, more credible voice and achieve more than any organisation could working alone.

  • Inclusion

    Inclusion means involving the people affected by decisions in shaping them. We create spaces where migrants, marginalised communities, practitioners and public institutions can exchange knowledge, identify workable solutions and turn participation into policy and practice.

Meet our team

  • Finance manager

    Žygimantas Satkauskas

    Žygimantas is known for his accuracy, strong organisational skills and effective planning. He has more than 10 years of experience and has contributed to the implementation of over 100 projects.

  • Researcher

    Urtė Petrulytė

    Urtė’s areas of interest include migration, gender, youth policy, advocacy, civil society, social policy and international relations. She holds a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy and has more than five years of experience working nationally and internationally in the fields of migration and integration. Her experience includes leading projects and teams and conducting research.

  • Researcher

    Ivan Trunov

    Ivan is a researcher, sociologist and data analyst at Diversity Development Group. His areas of interest include political sociology, far-right populism, LGBTIQ+ rights, civil society and migrant inclusion. He holds a master’s degree in sociology and has more than six years of experience conducting research in both academic and applied settings.

  • Managing Director

    Lina Kisevičienė

    Lina is the Managing Director and a project manager at Diversity Development Group. Her areas of interest include migration, integration and inclusion. She holds a master’s degree in management and business administration and has more than 15 years of experience managing national and international projects.

  • Founder

    Karolis Žibas

    Karolis is the founder of Diversity Development Group, a research and policy adviser, and a sociologist specialising in migration. He holds a PhD in social sciences (sociology).

  • Project Manager

    Augustas Alekna

    Augustas is a Project Manager at Diversity Development Group. His areas of interest include migration, integration, policymaking and advocacy. He holds a master’s degree in social anthropology from Lund University and has experience in project management, policy development and stakeholder coordination across the public, private and non-governmental sectors.
